About this Event
So much of what we do as artists is interpretive. Often we begin with a directly perceived image and create a kind of “replica” of what is seen, yet with abstraction, we can also move toward more experimental imagery as you employ more varied methods. As we travel from site to site, we will take a fresh look at familiar environments via a sketchbook format using a set of both traditional & experimental means and materials. Meeting locations will be; Amesbury Market Square (city life), Cider Hill Farm (farm, trees, landscape), and the Newburyport boardwalk (boats, seascape).
