About this Event
Alchemy is an unforgettable night out featuring performances from some of Boston’s best magicians. Sleight of hand, mental dexterity, and unexpected antics are all on the menu at this new experience in the heart of downtown Beverly. Your hosts have crafted up a production that’s equal parts amazement, hilarity, and innovation; and you are not going to want to miss it!
Part of what makes Alchemy so special is that it is an ever-evolving show. Regular performers prepare routines they’ve mastered but they also premiere brand new creations. And even the performers themselves will change at times (This month, we have a special guest joining the line-up!). You can learn a little bit about some of our returning performers below, but it’s just a taste because we have plenty of surprises in store!

Our Performers Include
Tyler Twombly is a magician, licensed mental health counselor, and designer of illusions who strives to blend the perceived with the imagined. He is an accomplished performer who has appeared on the international hit ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’ twice. In Alchemy, he will present a variety of his own original magic creations never before seen by a live audience.
Evan Northrup fuses a magician’s deception with a storyteller’s honesty to bring magic to life. When he’s not performing for private clients, he creates magic effects for theater companies around the region (including the Lyric Stage Company, the Huntington Theater Company and the Gloucester Stage) and designs immersive theatrical experiences that bring a touch of fantasy to our everyday world.
Joel Acevedo combines his job as an engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with magic performances and consultations for individuals, corporations and TV. For more than 25 years, he has entertained and amazed audiences in Puerto Rico, the U.S.A., and Spain; country to which he travels regularly to teach magic as a professor of the prestigious ‘Ana Tamariz School of Magic’ in Madrid. As a magic consultant, he has worked on numerous live events, music concerts, and the Hulu series “Castle Rock”.
