Call for Art: “Inspired by PEM: Mark Your Spot”
Salem Arts Association invites artists to reflect on the Shelagh Keeley: Drawn to Place exhibition at the Peabody Essex Museum. In this exhibit Keeley created a 58-foot wall drawing inspired by artifacts in the PEM and Phillips Library collections. We invite artists to also be inspired. Please submit artwork inspired by art and artifacts in these collections that resonate with you and/or describe your relationship to the past, present, and future of Salem, the North Shore, and MA. Open Exhibit Call for Art: Both Member and Non-Member artists may submit works.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Drop Off Submissions: Sunday, June 18, 2023, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Notification of inclusion/exclusion: Notification by email by Thursday, June 22, 2023.
- Pick up of unaccepted work: Any work not accepted will need to be picked up Saturday, June 24, 2023, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
- Reception: Friday, June 23, 2023, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
- Exhibition Dates: June 24 – July 29, 2023
- Gallery Hours are every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Pick Up of Artwork: Sunday, July 30, 2023, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
In order to insure the safety of our members during the Covid-19 pandemic we are requiring that all artists follow these guidelines:
Arrive with your artwork, printed forms, and submission fees ready.
Be Sure to Have all of your paperwork and payment ready at Drop Off. If you are a member, make sure your membership is up-to-date.
