About this Event
As part of the countercurrent exhibition programming, dancer Zoe Elizabeth will lead a contact improvisation workshop at Airtight Garage.
In this workshop with Zoe Elizabeth, participants will explore facilitated prompts that connect you to your own solo dance, basic movements, and partner exercises through principles of contact improvisation.
No dance experience required—this workshop is open to all! Relax, have fun, and lean into the experimentation which is at the heart of this exhibition.
countercurrent is a duo exhibition with Zoe Elizabeth and Lydia M Kinney running from October 3rd to 26th at Airtight Garage. Other dates include the exhibition opening and first performance on Saturday the 3rd, a second performance on Saturday the 17th, and an artist talk with Lydia on Tuesday, the 20th.
