Join us for our next Heritage Friend Event at the Custom House Maritime Museum and learn about the rich history of Newburyport by exploring its expansive collection of maritime artifacts displayed in multiple galleries. This impressive building which had once been a Custom House is located in the heart of downtown Newburyport on the banks of the Merrimack River.

The Museum’s Executive Director, James Russell, will be onsite to welcome guests as they explore the space which has undergone a recent “re-imagining” including the launch of a Kids’ Discovery Center with touch tank, models, and play space. Docents will also be available to answer questions.

This event is open to Essex Heritage members FREE of charge but registration is required. Space is limited. Non-member registration is $5.00 per person. Light refreshments will be provided.
