About this Event

pen to artists throughout Massachusetts thanks to funding from the Mass Cultural Council.

Dive into what artistic activism is and how creativity can be harnessed to catalyze social change. Full of inspiring examples and interactive exercises, this workshop invites participants to reflect on the progress they want to see in the world and how they can use their own creative toolkit to build campaigns that win. Participants will hear about successful creative campaigns from around the globe, while learning about basic principles and best practices.

Together with facilitators, artists will brainstorm innovative approaches to a sample creative campaign to understand how the tools discussed might be implemented. As a bonus after the workshop, participants will get access to a number of digital resources including videos, books and free courses provided by the Center for Artistic Activism. Based in New York but working with artists across the globe, the Center for Artistic Activism helps individuals and groups put their creative power to work for social change.

This workshop is suited for artists of all disciplines interested in exploring how to catalyze social change. 50 live participants max.

This workshop will be recorded! If you’re unable to attend the live session, you can still register via Zoom and, if approved, we’ll send you a link to access the recording after the workshop is complete.
