Start your Mardi Gras weekend early with the Jambalaya Horns in Gloucester!

The Cut—a proud supporter of the 2025 Salem Jazz and Soul Festival—is hosting an evening of New Orleans-flavored funk, soul, and brassy second-lines that will transport you straight to the Crescent City.

What to Expect:
This special show features an expanded horn section and surprise guest vocalists, plus an opening set from Jacyn Tremblay. Get ready for an authentic Big Easy experience with funk, soul, and traditional street beats.

About the Jambalaya Horns:
Formed in 2013 and fronted by Carlos Menezes Jr., the Jambalaya Horns bring the heart and soul of New Orleans to life. The ensemble features some of the North Shore’s finest musicians—including Salem Jazz and Soul Festival co-founder Henley Douglas Jr. on saxophone.
