About this Event
Explore stories of Kings and Queens, Battles and Betrayals, Faeries and Lovers.
Through games, voice work, and exploration of the text, actors will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to tackle Shakespeare’s characters and harness the language to tell a story.
Actors will learn to connect their voice and bodies to the text through acting exercises and performance, bringing Shakespeare’s words off the page and into the modern world. Shakespeare acting is a great skill that translates into powerful acting techniques, vocal expression, confidence, and public speaking clarity. Attendees will explore text from Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, and more. Christina has 20 years of experience teaching Shakespeare to youth.
