About this Event

Join us for Sensory-Friendly Photos with Santa at Long Hill! Enjoy the beauty of December at Long Hill by meeting Santa Claus, having your photo taken with him, and exploring our wintery grounds with fun holiday-inspired activities.

During this program, we’ll have a photographer on hand with experience working with neurodivergent children. One digital photography download per family is included with the program. Participants can sign up for a time slot at 11AM, 11:30AM, 12PM, and 12:30PM. Each family/group has approximately five to seven minutes for photos with Santa.

While waiting for your turn to get a photo with Santa, explore our grounds with our Christmas Scavenger Hunt, create a holiday-inspired craft at our craft table, or get cozy with one of our outdoor fire pits. This program offers dedicated time slots with a reduced number of guests and quieter sensory friendly environment. Any family that would benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome.

Resources available to prepare for your visit include a Social Story Guide available online. A special sensory kit and visual story guide are available upon check in. You may borrow noise-reducing headphones and sensory items from our staff in our Visitor Center inside the historic house for easier access during your visit. Please note that we have a limited number of sensory kits and headphones available and strongly encourage participants to bring anything they expect to need.
