Artist reception, Wednesday, September 20, 5-7pm

Shapeshifters explores themes of change and transformation. Drawing on the fantastical and mythological associations with shapeshifting, each of the artists seek to transgress or transcend the psychic dimensions of the self or aspects of the physical body. Ideas of impermanence and fragility permeate the work, both in terms of the works’ content and material.

Artists include Montserrat alumnae Aris Moore (’98) and Catalina Viejo Lopez de Roda (’05) as well as regional artists Anukriti and Rosie Ranauro.
