SUMMARY:Family Open Studio (Drop-In)
DESCRIPTION:Open Studio for makers (Ages 2+) and families is designed to allow the freedom of exploration and creation in a family-friendly environment. Supplies and materials are set out for each open studio to allow open-ended inspiration that changes each week and is suitable for families with kids ages 2+! Please note\, beads and other small objects may be present so it is crucial that caregivers are leading their little ones to age-appropriate materials. Open studio is perfect for families with limited space or limited patience for mess in their own home! \nOpen studio is self-guided. A studio attendant will be on-site but will not be leading\, this is the opportunity for open making and letting the imagination run! Note that due to the nature of this studio activation\, caregivers should plan to be present and creating alongside their makers. \nOpen studio materials will rotate weekly but will include beads\, textiles\, stamps\, assorted types of markers\, colored pencils\, pastels\, cardboard\, glue\, clay\, stickers\, recycled goods and SO MUCH MORE! Light direction will be given to suggest how a maker might use materials and how families can discuss the creation process.  We really encourage letting makers run with their ideas as an explorative process instead of creating a perfect end product. \nPlease make sure each person in your group registers\, including adults! Adults are encouraged to participate in creative activities along-side their little ones.
