Tell us about your organization, business, or initiative.
Holy Carp Design, established formally in 2018, is a collaborative graphic design and webinar production service. We create digital and print assets for new businesses and established businesses needing a refresh.
Our clients are local, national and global, mostly in business-to-business, but we also work with business-to-consumer. I’ve been working in design since 2004.
Holy Carp Design offers a variety of services in the design space including:
– Visual brand identity systems (logo, stationery and brand guidelines)
– Print design for informing client’s customers (brochures, postcards, booklets and catalogs)
– Presentation design for pitches and learning (Google slides or PowerPoint, focused on accessibility, brand implementation and designing for learning.)
– Learning design presentations/assets (interactive learning resources, or videos for skill building.)
– Social media assets (created for promotions, services, or awareness)
– Swag design (create promotional materials for give aways)
– Learning design materials (Participant guides, job aides, charts, learning model design)
We partner with our clients to help support building a brand on the web through video and through other means of sharing their story.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
I like to dive deeper in my client’s story, often times the more they share, the more collaborative our process and the more they are invested in the results. I want to really learn what makes my clients tick, sometimes they think the questions I ask are unexpected, but I’m looking to anchor their visuals to things that make sense.
My clients also like that I meet them where they are at, if they want something that they can edit, then I will create a file in a program they have access to. I’ve created full books in PowerPoint. I have a passion for the learning space, so I’m thrilled to help support consultants teaching various skills in manager and team development, organizational change or soft skills.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
Atomic Habits by James Clear. It shares some great methods to make incremental changes that have a big effect over time.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
I am a gamer, but in the old-fashioned sense, old school Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40k, board games of all sorts. I love story over mechanics, so I look for an experience with my clients that builds on their businesses’ story.
