In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
Based in our hometown of Salem, MA, we sell lore-inspired loose-leaf tea blends, many of which are also the base of our alcohol-free TeaTails. Our goal is to bring joy and delicious drinks to our community in the form of a witchy tea room and dry nightlife space.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
We are two best friends: Emilie and Maureen. We both love (LOVE) tea, and while Emilie does drink on the weekends, Maureen does not. (In fact: did you know that alcohol is carcinogenic? Or that nearly 40% of drinking-age adults don’t drink?) Midnight Teas(e) was founded around our desire to live and breathe tea 24/7 while also desperately wishing we had a space we could go hang out in on the weekends where we could drink tea, but that was also like a bar.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
Our cards. Although, who knows if we’ll listen to them.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
Maureen has a degree in Film & Photography, and Emilie has a degree in Video Game Animation.
