Hi, John owner of Swan Builders here! Swan Builders is a small carpentry business specializing in custom design/builds & frame to finish woodworking, where creativity & craftsmanship come together to create custom, functional pieces that enhance both spaces and well-being. I collaborate closely with clients to bring their vision to life, ensuring each design (addition/renovations, ADU’s, custom pieces) is both practical & beautiful. My passion lies in keeping the art of true craftsmanship alive and working with those who appreciate the value of custom, high-quality wood working!

I have always been drawn to the artistry & precision of woodworking and carpentry – the way raw materials can be transformed into something both functional & beautiful. My passion for carpentry comes from a deep appreciation for craftsmanship & the creative process. I love collaborating with clients to design custom pieces/spaces that not only maximize their homes but also enhance their daily lives & overall well-being. For me, this work is more than just building furniture or a construction project; it’s about preserving the art of woodworking, creating pieces with thoughtful intention and working with people who value the uniqueness & quality of handmade designs.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
“The Talent Code” I love how this book highlights that talent is developed rather than innate. I’m a big proponent of a “growth mindset” and I’m always looking for ways to expand and evolve.
