From Creative Collective

Creative Collective is proud to present the first-ever digital Haunted Happenings Marketplace featuring vendors, artisans crafters, and entertainers for the 2020 Halloween season.

With the cancellation of many events, this platform to support the hundreds of makers and performers who are not able to visit and experience Salem the way they normally would.

“The Haunted Happenings Marketplace is our answer to this ongoing challenge. As an extension of what Creative Collective does for its members and at its events, this marketing campaign will help all of these talented individuals.

“This dynamic virtual market will drive much-needed revenue and help make up for a portion of what’s been lost these past few months,” said Collective founder John Andrews.

Covid-19 nearly eviscerated many small creative businesses and some won’t be able to survive this crisis.. Hundreds of local makers and small businesses lost every in-person opportunity to sell their wares this year, and we needed a solution to this seemingly impossible challenge. With so much uncertainty already coming down the line, “Wait and see” just wasn’t good enough for us. Especially when “wait and see” meant holding our collective breath until 2021, or longer.

As the team behind a lot of what people love about October in Salem, the Collective is equipped to create a digital experience that can be enjoyed by all, both in-person and online.

In an effort to support these small businesses, all 2019 Market participants and Collective members were granted free digital listings. For new vendors and those interested in an enhanced package, the Haunted Happenings Marketplace is still accepting vendors, and interested parties can apply to participate in the event by following this link.

This virtual marketplace is actively working, and rallying together, with Destination Salem, Salem Haunted Happenings, Haunted Happenings Magazine, and Halloween Happy to help create a safe alternative for these makers and artisans and the consumers that look forward to them every year.

Not Just an Online Marketplace

The Haunted Happenings Marketplace is more than just an expertly curated virtual vendor fair, it’s also a hub for virtual entertainment and socially distanced and friendly in-person experiences.

There were so many events that couldn’t happen this year which provide critical funds for many Non-Profit organizations and we wanted to make sure that we supported those that we could. We are happy to include the annual HOWL-O-WEEN event has been given a digital makeover in partnership with Salem Main Streets.
