Lifebridge North Shore

Lifebridge North Shore is a comprehensive nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting unhoused and vulnerable individuals across the North Shore of Massachusetts. With a history dating back to 1980, Lifebridge has evolved into a multi-faceted organization offering shelter, housing, meals, and supportive services to help end homelessness.

Mission:

To support unhoused and vulnerable individuals by providing resources for safety, healthy development, and the tools to make positive life decisions, with a fundamental belief in the worth and dignity of every human being.

Impact:

  • Serves over 300 individuals daily across three locations
  • Provides 70 emergency shelter beds
  • Offers 27 units of permanent supportive housing
  • Serves multiple meals daily at various locations

Historical Milestones:

  • 1980: Started as outreach by Crombie Street Congregational Church
  • 2005: Relocated to former St. Mary's Parish in Salem
  • 2016: Merged with River House in Beverly
  • 2018: Acquired Grace Center in Gloucester
