Are you looking for children’s friendly events on the  North Shore? Here we have 9 events that your children will enjoy!

1. Kids at the Cabot with Flor Bromley 

 

If your child loves music, they will love ‘Kids at the Cabot with Flor Bromley’. Join this multicultural music celebration filled to the brim with dancing, songs, and storytelling with Latin Grammy nominee Flor Bromley. 

 

Date: October 12th  (Saturday)

  1. Kid’s Pub

Explore New England’s rich history with this child-friendly Tavern experience. Spend the day filled with playing exciting games, spooky stories, music, and dancing! Kid’s Pub is a perfect way for a family to enjoy downtown Salem. 

 

Date: October 5th and 12th Saturday  

Time: 4 pm to 5 pm 

Tickets: $18

  1. Potion Making Party, Costume Ball, and Character Breakfast with the Good Witch of Salem

With Halloween just around the corner, here are some fantastic ways to get in the spirit. The Good Witch of Salem has a variety of fun events for you and your children to enjoy together.  

Potion Making Party is a magical event that is perfect for kids who love arts and crafts.  

Date: October 19th 

Time: 12 pm – 3 pm 

Tickets: $55 

Location: Salem Waterfront Hotel and Suites, Salem Ma 

Costume Ball is a great place for kids to show off their fun Halloween costumes and dance! The North End Dinner Buffet Will Provide Food.

Character Breakfast is a magical morning with the Good Witch of Salem, a unicorn, Jack Skellington and special surprise guests. Play bingo and enjoy eating breakfast, plus take photos with the friendly guests.

  1. Legopalooza, Costume Party, and Kids Yoga at the North Shore Children’s Museum

The North Shore Children’s Museum is a hub for kids’ events all year long and this month they have an exciting lineup! 

Legopalooza  

Legopalooza is a fun way to keep your imaginative little ones entertained as they play with a large variety of Legos all day at the North Shore Children’s Museum.  

 

Date: Wednesday,  October 9th 

Time: 9 am – 12 pm or 1 pm–4 pm 

Tickets: $6 – $12

Costume Party  

Looking for a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit? This event is filled with exciting activities like a costume parade, an airbrush, temporary tattoos, and festive games! This is not an event you want to miss. 

Date: Friday, October 25th 

Time: 5 pm – 7 pm 

Tickets: $12 for members and $15 for non-members

Kids Yoga and Mindfulness 

Need a calming break for you and your little one? Join Miss Shelley on October 8th at 10 am for kids’ yoga and mindfulness! This is a great way to get your child to relax, breathe, and move their body during this busy month.

North Shore Children’s Museum always has exciting children’s events every week so be sure to check their website! 

  1. Scarecrow Contest Newburyport Market Square

If crafting your own scarecrow masterpiece with your family sounds like fun, then join the Scarecrow Contest in Newburyport’s Market Square! Families and children have their very own category, perfect for showcasing your one-of-a-kind creations. Winners will be announced at 3 PM on October 14th through the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce’s social media—don’t miss your chance to be part of the fun! 

Check in at 8 am to 10 am on October 12th and Keep your scarecrow on display the whole weekend 

Date: October 12th and 13th  

Time: all weekend 

Entry fee: 50$
