Case Study

Beverly Artist in Residence Program

The
Project

Creative Collective was contracted by the City of Beverly to assist in developing an Artist-in-Residence program aimed at integrating local artists into community spaces. During the three-month pilot program, we established a comprehensive system of procedures designed to facilitate the smooth operation of future iterations of the program within the city.

Our team worked closely with city officials and local artists to design a framework that addressed logistical, administrative, and creative aspects of the residency. This included setting up guidelines for artist selection, defining the roles and responsibilities of participants, and ensuring that all necessary resources were available. We also implemented a robust support system offering technical assistance and professional guidance to the artists involved.

Additionally, we focused on gathering data and feedback throughout the pilot phase to refine and improve the structure of the program. This process allowed us to identify key areas for enhancement and to develop a set of best practices that will guide the City of Beverly in scaling and replicating the program effectively.

The Artist-in-Residence program not only enriched the cultural landscape of Beverly but also contributed to its economic development by promoting creative placemaking and enhancing public engagement with the arts.
