For our August Book Club, Nocturne is thrilled to welcome Salem-born artist, costume designer, and author Bill Crisafi (@Billsafi) for an intimate evening celebrating the release of his wickedly funny new book, The Glam Reaper’s Guide to Slaying: Life Lessons for Rebellious Souls.

Join us inside Nocturne for a delightfully unhinged evening of books, conversation, camp, self-love, and a little bit of death.

We’ll gather together to discuss the book, chat with Bill about his artwork, characters, inspirations, and creative process, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate the fabulous weirdos, rebellious souls, glamorous ghouls, and hot bitches among us.

Bill Crisafi is an artist and costume designer originally from Salem, Massachusetts whose work blends the occult, drag, fashion, folklore, magic, and campy humor.

His instantly recognizable illustrations inhabit a world populated by witches, demons, glamorous ghouls, mischievous creatures, and fabulously strange beings, often tackling very human experiences through an otherworldly lens.
