About this Event
Relief Printmaking is an ancient practice beginning in Asia around the 1st century. This mini class will explore white line woodblock printmaking. Also known as Provincetown printmaking, white line printmaking began in 1914 as an alternative to Japanese printmaking techniques which required multiple blocks for multiple colors. American printmakers carved an entire design into one block, using the carved lines to separate areas that would have different colors.
Class is held Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks: July 22, July 24, July 29, July 31, 7-9pm.
