February School Vacation is coming up next week! Here are some activities happening North of Boston for young creative minds.

FC Academy Winter Filmmaking at The Cabot

Intended for kids ages 10-14

In this class, students will bring creativity to life in a fun, collaborative and exciting environment. They will learn skills in scriptwriting, storyboard sketching, improvisation and camera skills. Students who have previously participated in our program will be able to expand on their filmmaking skills. Together they will write, shoot and edit a film in a genre of their choosing and edit their project together using the professional editing software Adobe Premiere.

The class will run February 22-25 (Tuesday-Friday) 9AM-12PM


Fairytales Dance It Out!​Virtual Session

Time for make believe in Mini Movers Studio’s Fairytales Dance It Out! virtual session Each day we will dance, play games and activities, make a craft and have a blast during this session.

Tuesday: The Gingerbread Man
Wednesday: Sleeping Beauty
Thursday: The 12 Dancing Princesses
Friday: The Little Mermaid

Spend February Vacation with the Good Witch of Salem

The Good Witch of Salem is hosting several fun and creative events for this month’s school vacation week!


School Vacation Week: Multicultural Festival at The Peabody Essex Museum

Join us to celebrate the range of cultures represented in our local community through music, guided play, art making inspired by our new Each/Other exhibition, along with African and Latin drum and dance performances. REAL’s Little Free Library® Crawl

The Crawl begins at the Lynn Museum, where REAL Little Free Library Crawl Travelers will receive a REAL mask, passport, map, and scavenger hunt clues. Along the tour, children and adults will have fun searching for clues, enjoy warm treats, and have their passports stamped. All Travelers must pre-register to walk the Crawl. Open Studios at The Artful Life

The morning session will be for kids ages 6-9 and the afternoon for kids ages 10-14. Parents are welcome as well to stay and create with their kiddo. Feel free to pop in for one day or join in for all three session.

Tuesday 02/22 – Thursday 02/24:
10am – 12pm for 6-9yo
1pm – 3pm for 10-13yo
One day pass: $30
All 3 day pass: $75

February Vacation Program: Sound Seekers at The Phoenix School

Explore the world of sound that surrounds us! Experiment to see how far you can make sound travel through different types of matter, analyze animal sounds, create the language that an imaginary creature may make, build your own musical instrument and compose your own song using human-made and natural materials with GarageBand, and design a sound invention to make a positive change in our world.Fee: $50 a day for ages 6-10, $25 a day for ages 11-14 (Teen Leadership Program)
