In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
We are bringing a unique approach to the way in which benefits are delivered. Health insurance is evolving, and with all the changes happening, there are creative solutions available to lower costs.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
Many businesses are trained to accept higher healthcare costs year after year, delivered by brokers who are just that–not trusted advisors. We are passionate about being fully transparent, and delivering new value constantly, helping clients think strategically about benefits as they look out 2 to 5 years.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
No matter your business, if you communicate with your customers anything other than face-to-face, you need a creative on your team. Creatives help communicate big, complicated ideas CLEARLY– and push everyone around them to problem-solve more creatively as well. We advocate for creatives within the business community at large because we’re all responsible for protecting and growing the creative sector.
What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?
The last two books I read were Big Hunger, which is about the emergency food system here in the US, and The Uninhabitable Earth, which is about climate change. Not exactly light topics 🙂 My favorite fiction author is Kurt Vonnegut, and my favorite historical fiction author is William Martin.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
We are developing our own software and smartphone apps; one we’re working on now to help employees who are burdened by student debt make good holistic decisions about their personal finances and the benefits they get at work.
