Three Sisters Garden Project
The Three Sisters Garden Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community farm based in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Founded in 2015, it's dedicated to making local, fresh produce accessible to all community members, regardless of their ability to pay, while practicing sustainable agriculture.

- 6-acre farm (4 in Ipswich, 2 in Wenham by 2025)
- Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) program
- Sliding-scale pricing and free shares
- SNAP (food stamps) acceptance

Signature Programs:
- CSA Shares: Weekly produce shares from June to December
- Food Access Initiative: Free produce distribution to food-insecure neighbors

Mission:
To steward farmland, feed the community, and make local, fresh produce accessible to all, regardless of income or circumstances, while promoting sustainable agriculture.
Impact:
- Produces 40,000-50,000 pounds of fresh produce annually
- Serves food-insecure neighbors across 18 Essex County cities and towns
- Over 70% of produce goes directly to low-income neighbors
- Only production-scale farm with a food-access mission on the North Shore
Farming Practices:
- Follow organic standards (not certified)
- No GMO seeds, synthetic fertilizers, or chemical pesticides
- Focus on soil, air, and water conservation in the local ecosystem
Community Involvement:
- CSA model encourages direct farmer-consumer relationships
- Weekly newsletters with harvest lists and recipes
- Collaboration with local orchards for fruit inclusion in CSA
