Joey Phoenix talks with Christine Finnegan Madruga about the upcoming Winter Wonderland Ball on February 2nd.

Tell us about the upcoming event and why it’s exciting.

The Winter Wonderland Character Ball is an afternoon of magic. With 18 characters, children will be able to enjoy performances, crafts, snacks, dancing and interaction with all the characters! There will be a green screen set up for incredible photos in which all attendees will receive a free digital image with the option to purchase a print.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Carlton School in Salem, MA. The PTO at the school uses the money to fund field trips for the students and purchase supplies and equipment that the school needs and for other support for students.

This is an exciting opportunity for people who wanted to attend our Holiday Ball,  but couldn’t due to pricing as it is less than half the price and will be very similar!

Who can attend this event?

Anyone can attend this event. We recommend advance ticket purchase but they will be sold at the door too, as long as tickets are available. Each ticket admits one child and one adult. Tickets are $35. Additional adult admission will be available at the door for $10.

What makes Ice Queen Cosplay Princess Parties so special?

What makes Ice Queen Cosplay Princess Parties different from other companies is our performers. Many of them make their own costumes, which you can see in the detail. They also all know each other and have formed a bond not only as performers, but as friends. We are a family run business and I think it shows in how much fun we have together as a group. Children see that and the excitement and enjoyment spreads from the performers to the crowd.

Tell us about you and your role with Ice Queen Cosplay.

I am the owner of Ice Queen Cosplay. For the last for years, I have been performing as well, but my role is moving more toward the organization of parties and events, and less performing.

What other things are you excited about in the coming months?

In the upcoming months, we have a full schedule of events for February vacation week! We also will be performing at the Burlington Library Comix Con in March and Kidscon New England in May. These are two fantastic events for children and we are honored to be part of them.
