digs studio makes the old new again by creating contemporary, one-of-a-kind enamels using traditional methods. Each piece is hand-formed from copper and layers of enamels, applied and kilnfired. The results are tactile, pieces that reflect the natural beauty of the materials.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
We like to create pieces that become part of peoples lives, stories and memories. Enameling has been around forever, at digs studio we like to design things that capture a patine that only time can create.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community?
We create many different products. Working with many different artist, small manufacturers, stores has been successfully in developing working relationships with our local creative community.
What was the last book you read that made an impact on you?
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
Kate lived oversea for a number of years, Tim worked at Disney World for 5 years after high school.
