The approaching Holiday season is putting people in the shopping, eating, and drinking mood as small businesses across the North Shore are gearing up for the busiest time of the year. Following up the successful 2020 #StayLocal campaign, Creative Collective is launching #StayLocal2021, encouraging individuals to shop and support small this upcoming holiday season.

For many small businesses in 2020, this focus on shopping small helped them survive the more trying times of the COVID pandemic. The support of the community kept doors open and shops, restaurants, and makers in business when many across the nation were struggling to do so.

“The vitality of our local communities, the reason we get out and spend our time in our city’s cultural districts, is because of the small businesses which exist there. These businesses are owned and operated by real human beings offering authentic experiences, and supporting them directly is really so key to our community identities and to our local economic recovery,” says Joey Phoenix (they/them/theirs), Director of Brand Strategy and Innovation at Creative Collective.

This year, Creative Collective hopes to continue the trend of staying local, and directly supporting the businesses in North Shore communities.

Follow the hashtags #StayLocal and #StayLocal2021 this November and December for highlights, features, and shopping guides to make the most of this campaign.
