Beginner-friendly workshop for adults & teens 16 +

Come on by BevCam Downtown, 261 Cabot St, for a fun session with BevCam Education Manager Amanda Hurley. Learn how to set up for a podcast—from equipment and recording to producing and hosting. Then, jump into a live podcast experience where you’ll have the chance to ask questions, try the mic yourself, and chat about your interests and podcasting ideas.

Whether you’re a seasoned podcaster or completely new, this workshop is for anyone exploring the ins and outs of podcasting. Get ready to share your voice with the world!

About Amanda — BevCam Education Manager

Amanda Hurley is the Education Manager at BevCam, where she focuses on educational programming for youth and adults and supporting podcast production. She is also the creator and host of her personal podcast, I Brought You Into This World, and the host of BevCam’s youth podcast, BevCam Kids! (Please reach out if your kids are interested!)

Amanda is a storyteller at heart, with a BA in Dramatic Arts and a background working with kids. In 2020, while looking to make a career shift, she completed a certificate program in Broadcast Media and soon found herself working as an Education Coordinator at Urban Media Arts. She stayed in that role for three years, enjoying the mix of community engagement and creative work.

Shortly after moving to Beverly, Amanda joined BevCam and has loved getting to be part of the arts and culture community here. When she’s not working, her favorite activities are binge-watching her favorite shows, listening to podcasts, exploring local parks and trails, and hanging out with her husband and their two girls. Her go-to podcast at the moment is Good Hang with Amy Poehler.
