In 1913, The House of the Seven Gables presented a “Pageant of Salem” on the grounds of the Kernwood Estate. Featuring costumes, spectacle, and a cast of hundreds, the pageant highlighted episodes both real and legendary from Salem’s past. As we commemorate the city’s 400th anniversary, join us for a look back at the history of… well, looking back.
