About this Event
Stop by Old Town Hall to hear voices from across Salem share stories and poems about the city. This event features local residents reading their contributions to Pieces of Salem: An Anthology of Salem Voices, a book edited by Salem Poet Laureate, J.D. Scrimgeour, to commemorate the city’s 400th anniversary. The readers range from 9 to 90, from award-winning writers to first-time poets.
There will be three 1-hour sessions, at 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm. All will have different readers. Attendees are welcome to stay for as long as they wish.
Mini-Marathon Readings will take place:
Saturday, July 18
Saturday, July 25
Sunday, August 2
Different readers will be featured at each event.
