All are invited to join Wakefield’s Human Rights Commission as they raise the Progress Pride flag on June 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. in front of the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main Street.

Attendees will enjoy the music of Wakefield Memorial High School’s Voices of Steel; hear from Town Administrator Denise Casey, Town Council Chair Jonathan Chines, and Reverend Brett Johnson; and have time to browse resources provided by the community partners like NAGLY and WAAV. Wakefield Community Access TV will provide video coverage.

In the event of heavy rain, attendees can gather in the Civic Center’s Drill Hall.
