In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
The typical commercial dog grooming experience consists of dogs packed into walls of kennels, a disregard for subtle dog behavior cues, and pressure from management to crank out as many dogs as possible per day. This environment is not only stressful for your pet, it can also be hazardous to geriatric and medically handicapped animals. Doggy Dog World is dog grooming done right; the dog is the client. My education is in Canine Cosmetology, Behavior, and Nutrition. All of my clients feel comfortable in my care and beautiful when they leave.

I’m an artist at heart, with an instinctual understanding of how to “speak” to dogs. When I started as a Dog Bather at a local shop in Marblehead, MA, I found that being a dog groomer blended these skills, and a passion was born. I strive to blend artistry with kindness when I’m working with my clients.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
I graduated from the Whole Pet Grooming Academy in 2019 with certificates in Professional Canine Stylist, Advanced Canine Stylist, and Pet Care Skin & Coat Specialist. I then went on to graduate, Cum Laude, from North Shore Community College with an Associate’s degree in Animal Care Science; a course of study that blended classes on animal behavior, nutrition, and medicine, along with the professional courses needed to operate a successful business. I believe in life-long learning and continually work with others to improve my grooming technique, customer service, and business management skills.
