Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
We’re an art studio focused on the art of printmaking. We sell our prints and teach classes and workshops at our studio in Swampscott MA.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
Art = critical thinking + beauty. At MiraMar, art making and art buying is accessible to anyone who enters the shop. Make art, wear art, live art, buy art.
What was the last book you read or film you watched that made an impact on you?
We researched and read a lot of Greek mythology last year while working on a suite of prints. I am still telling those stories daily to my students and anyone else who walks in the shop!
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
MiraMar means “look to the sea” in Spanish, but our business is also named for our children, Amira and Maddox Atoui-Rodriguez.
