In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
PopsWorkshoppe is woman-owned and operated business that offers a personalized experience through custom jewelry, bags, tumblers, mugs, and much more. We were founded in 2016 after my father, Al, passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He made hand-stamped rings and loved every second of it. He made me promise to keep making them, and I did. But since then, I branched out into making even more. I still make his hand-stamped rings, but I now also offer laser engraving, sublimation, and more. I wanted to take his craft and make it my own, while still honoring him in the process. PopsWorkshoppe is also named after him. His grandchildren called him Pops and he was a true handyman and could create something out of nothing.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
My name is Kayla. I’m a mother of two. My daughter, Isabella, is 13 and my son, Oliver, is 2. My passion is creating. It took me a long time to find my “thing,” and this is it. I studied funeral science in college, and will always have a love and passion for that industry, but this is where my heart is. My business means everything to me.
