The vision for Change is Simple (CiS) is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when children are given the knowledge, tools, and agency to understand their impact on the world, they grow into adults who act with intention, responsibility, and hope.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
SESD hosted a documentary showing at Cinema Salem called What if Something Goes Terribly Wrong. It followed employees at a sewerage plant in Maine and the challenges they are facing that many other sewerage facilities throughout North America are also facing. It’s something that affects every single person, but we only ever think of them when things go wrong. They all need crucial infrastructure updates and trained/skilled employees working 24/7, and the systems are constantly being stressed and breaking down. I love working at an organization that helps educate kids on how to tread more lightly on the earth and conserve our natural resources.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
We have 16 full-time employees!
