The Salem YMCA is a cornerstone of our community, dedicated to strengthening individuals and families through programs that promote health, wellness, education, and connection. We offer a wide range of services, including fitness classes, youth programs, childcare, creative arts, and social programs, all designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our mission is rooted in creating opportunities for everyone, regardless of background or financial situation, to thrive and grow. At the Y, we’re not just a gym or a childcare provider—we’re a place where connections are made, confidence is built, and community is fostered.

Our passion lies in creating a welcoming space where people of all ages can feel supported, inspired, and valued. From fostering creativity through arts programs to teaching life-saving swim skills or providing a safe place for after-school care, everything we do is guided by our mission to make a meaningful impact. The joy of seeing our members grow, achieve, and connect keeps us motivated every day.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
We have a theatre, Ames Hall, located inside our Salem YMCA building!
