Behind every family are origin stories. And stories are for telling.

On Friday, April 30, from 6 to 7 p.m., join others for some fun, virtual rounds of Ancestral BINGO. The House of the Seven Gables will host this interactive event. To learn more or to register, check The Gables’ events listings under Visit on the website.

Each Ancestral BINGO participant will receive a BINGO card to use. The BINGO questions are simple. Did an ancestor come to this country on a boat? Did someone in your family come here from Poland? If you win a round, you will win a prize! And you’ll be given the opportunity to share bits of your family’s history with other players. Gather the family and compare your family’s stories with others playing the game. The suggested donation for this event is $5.

Ancestral BINGO is part of a new city celebration called Salem Ancestry Days. Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate their ancestral and immigrant connections to Salem, Massachusetts, from April 30 through May 3. Go to the Ancestral Days blog to find information on the lectures, tours, research opportunities, and information on this new and special weekend honoring family, family stories and connections to Salem.

Creative Collective is celebrating the ways we can get outside this Spring with their #SpringOnTheNorthShore campaign, an initiative created to highlight the best that springtime North of Boston has to offer on the longer, warmer days.

Area businesses can participate in the event by using the hashtag #SpringOnTheNorthShore and tagging @creativecollectivema  and @creativenorthshore in posts on social media highlighting ways their businesses are encouraging people to get out and explore the best of the region this Spring.
