Step back in time and indulge in the nostalgia of yesteryear at the Artisan Nostalgic Pop-Up Market, curated by Creative Collective, at the Liberty Tree Mall. This unique shopping experience celebrates the craftsmanship and creativity of local artisans, and celebrates sustainable fashion.

Get ready to be transported to a bygone era where quality and attention to detail were paramount as you browse through the carefully curated selection of handcrafted items. From vintage clothing and accessories to handblown glass woodwork, and original art, the market showcases a variety of products that will inspire your imagination and nostalgia..

Not only will you have the opportunity to shop from over 25 artisan, retro, and vintage businesses, but you’ll also get to enjoy the sounds of Residency Records spinning vinyl tunes from the heyday of the mall (the 80’s and 90’s) on Saturday 2 PM – 6 PM and Sunday 1 PM – 5 PM.

On Saturday, we have a special treat in store for you! We’re partnering with Northeast Arc to bring you a live performance by Santon, an award-winning graduate from Berklee School of Music who was born blind and has autism. Santon is a musical savant and plays multiple instruments. He has even produced two albums! His performance, which will take place from 12 PM – 2 PM, is supported by Danvers Cultural Council through funding by the Mass Cultural Council.

Additionally, Northeast Arc will be welcoming their own artisan vendors who are part of their parcels store located in the mall. parcels is a unique store that sells products made by, or sold through companies owned by, people with disabilities or autism. It’s a great opportunity to support local artisans and shop for unique products while enjoying the live performance by Santon.

“People with disability and autism have turned to starting small businesses to address the lack of employment opportunities available”, said Tim Brown, chief innovation and strategy officer at Northeast Arc. “In just over two years we have been able to highlight artists and small businesses and have infused more than $300,000 in direct payments to over 100 artist and social enterprises from around the world. Partnering with the Creative Collective will provide another accessible avenue for local artists to sell their items and meet customers directly.”

“We’re thrilled to partner once again with Lauren Dalis and the Simon/Liberty Tree Mall team to activate an amazing (and underutilized) space,” said John Andrews, Founder of Creative Collective. “We believe that a new vision is needed for these spaces, and we’re happy to work on ways to make a stronger connection between the traditional mall model and the explosive growth of small independent businesses.”

Malls continue to be a source of employment for many locals and add important tax revenues to the cities they are in. By cross-utilizing their open spaces, they can provide new opportunities for growth and development for both small businesses and the mall itself.

“I am looking forward to welcoming the Creative Collective and their nostalgic vendors to Liberty Tree Mall. It has been our goal, for quite some time, to host fun, unique activations, especially in that area of the center. This feels like the perfect combination to kick-off that initiative: a trusted and proven event organizer and producer (Creative Collective), a really fun theme, and unique talented vendors.
We hope that the anticipated success of this event will serve as inspiration for future similar opportunities. ”
