The Salem Alchemist was created in 2023 when Alexi Vrouvlianis realized he wanted to produce an all-natural soap that everyone could use daily. It needed to be free of any chemicals or undefinable “fragrance,” but also affordable and accessible. With his wife, Jenny, Alexi began to craft The Salem Alchemist’s first soaps to sell to people who care about the products they put on their bodies every day.
While there is an abundance of cold-process soap makers, many of them provide a product that’s too expensive or decorative and becomes decor rather than functional everyday soap. Soap is something we put all over our skin every day and thus should be something natural and non-toxic. Everyone should be able to access an all-natural daily-use product such as soap. The Salem Alchemist aims to provide that.
