A Night for Patrick turned North Shore Music Theatre green on Monday, August 24, 2026. The benefit ran from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the theatre on Dunham Road in Beverly. Specifically, it supported Patrick Wetson, a 10-year-old from Hamilton facing a brain tumor diagnosis. Additionally, it supported his mother, Erin, and his sister, Camilla. Broadway actor Jake Ryan Flynn hosted. Furthermore, North Shore Music Theatre presented the evening in partnership with Patrick’s Pack, the community effort built around the family. The lineup mixed Broadway voices, local musicians, comedy, and kids from a few towns over. Tickets were $35, or $20 for students, seniors, veterans, and teachers. Meanwhile, the night sold out, and the lobby backed up past the bar before doors even opened. Creative Collective photographed the night. However, we did not produce it. Here is what the room looked like.

What happened at A Night for Patrick?
- A balloon arch at the door, in green, navy, white, and gold
- Broadway performers alongside local singers and musicians
- Kids on the same stage as adults, including a two-hander duet
- A silent auction, plus a signed basketball that went home with a kid in the audience
- Comedy, music, and what organizers had only promised as surprises
- A dress code of one colour — organizers asked the room to wear green, and it did
Seven letters, one room
First, the green. Organizers had asked everyone to wear it, for Patrick, Erin, and Camilla. Consequently, the room turned into one colour before a note was played. Then came the detail that does not appear on any ticket page. Late in the night, a row of volunteers stood together at the front in matching green shirts. Each shirt carried one white letter. Together they spelled PATRICK.
Moreover, the shamrocks were the other half of it. People had written messages on oversized paper shamrocks all evening. Then they held them up from the stage. One of them read, in marker, YOU GOT THIS!
Therefore the math of the night was simple. One kid, seven letters, and a room willing to hold them up.
Who performed at North Shore Music Theatre?
Broadway actor Jake Ryan Flynn hosted. Notably, he grew up in Hamilton-Wenham, the same community Patrick calls home. Furthermore, he first performed on this exact stage in 2014.
Around him, the bill ran local and deep. Jordan Quinn sang days after winning Season 5 of Seacoast Idol. Additionally, Olivia Avery (Principi) performed, another Season 5 alum working across the North Shore. Jack Favazza came down from Gloucester. Meanwhile, James Stark drove in from Dracut, and Samantha Leone brought musical-theatre credits to the round. Furthermore, two kids traded verses at center stage, entirely unbothered by 1,500 seats.
Nobody treated it as a gala. Instead, it played like a town meeting with better lighting.

Carol Lavoie Schuster, who produced the night, confirmed it during the event. Notably, she is also the Creative Collective member who brought this evening to us in the first place.
North Shore Music Theatre is a theatre-in-the-round. Practically, that means there is no back of the house. Every seat faces the same stage from a different angle. Therefore the room can see itself, which is a strange and useful thing on a night like this.
Afterward, a sheet cake sat on a table by the bar. It read All In for Patrick, and underneath, the date. Behind it stood seven people spelling a name.
Local businesses paid for the room, among them Hawkins Building Group and Aviva Wellness & Aesthetics. Creative Collective sits at the intersection of tourism, arts, small business, and city hall across Essex County. Occasionally that just means showing up with a camera when a region decides to do something for one family. Monday was one of those nights.
