Sales and Digital Payment

In a concerted effort to promote the sale of your art pieces, we encourage all participating artists to set up a digital payment application like Venmo or Paypal. The Galleria volunteers will assist interested buyers in using these apps for payment. Sold artworks will be marked with a red dot and can be collected by the buyers at the end of the show or at a mutually agreed time.

Exhibit Guidelines

All exhibits must have the prior approval of the Galleria Coordinator before being displayed. The Galleria Coordinator will provide all necessary display materials. Please do not bring any easels, stands, or other display apparatus, as the Galleria Coordinator will be responsible for hanging and arranging all artwork.

Exciting New Changes at the 2023 Peabody International Festival Galleria

In an effort to provide greater flexibility and opportunities for artists, we are introducing a few notable changes to this year’s event:

In-Show Art Sales

For the first time, artists are permitted to sell their displayed artworks during the festival. In previous years, sales transactions could only occur off-property following the event. This year, artists are encouraged to take advantage of digital payment platforms such as Venmo and PayPal. Feel free to bring and display your business cards and payment codes; our staff will direct interested buyers to your payment site. Upon confirmation of a purchase, your artwork will be marked as “sold.” Patrons can then return at the end of the day to collect their purchased pieces.

Unframed Artwork Bins

In addition, we are providing bins to facilitate the sale of unframed, plastic-wrapped works during the festival. If you plan on utilizing this feature, please inform us in advance about the number of pieces you’ll be bringing and ensure each piece is clearly marked with its price. Artists can choose to oversee these sales personally or leave their payment app information with our volunteers, who will assist in the sales process.

“Small Pieces” Art Sale

Lastly, we are excited to announce a “Small Pieces” art sale! We are inviting artists to display up to ten small works of art, each no larger than 12″ x 12″. These pieces will be displayed on boards around the Galleria tent and can be purchased on the spot. This sale offers an excellent opportunity for artists to distribute their works more widely and generate additional revenue, while patrons can acquire beautiful pieces of art at affordable prices.

Submission

If you are interested in being part of this international art exhibit, please submit your application promptly. For any queries regarding the application process, you can reach out to Lisa Greene at (978) 538-5777 or via email at lisa.greene@peabody-ma.gov.
