This month, The Cabot hosts a great calendar for all to enjoy this holiday season. The month opens with a weekend of music – an Evening with Judy Collins on Friday, December 3, Peter Wolf and the Midnight Travelers for a Saturday night show to benefit Someone Else’s Child and then Rock the Holidays with Darlene Love on Sunday.

The next weekend boasts another music-filled schedule: Friday, December 10, Almost Queen: A Tribute to QUEEN will rock the stage to a full house. Saturday morning, Kids at The Cabot presents Karen K and the Jitterbugs Holiday Special. This show celebrates the diverse traditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Diwali and more, through music, theatrics, puppetry, and the customary Jitterbugs tail shaking. Squirrel Nut Zippers hits the stage later Saturday night with a stop on their Holiday Caravan Tour.

On Sunday, December 12, catch Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon showcase their new album Noon. December 17 through 19, watch ballet classic from North Atlantic Ballet, The Nutcracker. On December 21, The Cabot will present the first concert performance of The Tidings: A Christmas Concert For Those Who Grieve. This concert will be filmed to create a music documentary for presentation on PBS stations in December 2022. Come for a laugh on December 30 at New Years Eve-EVE Comedy Blowout! The month, and year, closes out with New Year’s Eve with Ryan Montbleau Band

About The Cabot

For a century, The Cabot in Beverly has been a local treasure, a dream palace at the heart of the downtown, and a welcoming gathering place for generations of North Shore residents. Originally known as The Ware, this opulent, neoclassical-style theater was built in 1920 by the renowned architectural firm Funk & Wilcox. Originally used for vaudeville shows and silent movies, it was later owned by the movie chain E.M. Loews. In 1976, The Cabot was purchased by Le Grand David and his own Spectacular Magic Company, and for the next 36 years was home to this world-famous magic show. The Cabot is now being transformed into a 21st century venue for audiences of all ages, with nationally recognized live performers, current and classic movies and community events. Since its reopening in November 2014, The Cabot is once again a vital part of the North Shore’s artistic life. The Cabot celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. Visit https://thecabot.org.
