Step back into Beverly’s Revolutionary past and experience a dramatic reenactment of the 1775 encounter between the Continental schooner Hannah and the British vessel HMS Nautilus.
Historic Beverly is proud to partner with Beverly 400+ and other community organizations for this special living history event on Beverly’s waterfront.
The reenactment takes place on October 10, the exact date of the original 1775 battle, 251 years later. Visitors will experience history brought to life with costumed townspeople and reenactors, cannon fire, historical interpretation, waterfront activities, and more.
Come early and enjoy Trombones 4 Revolution, who will perform as guests arrive prior to the start of the battle at 9:00 AM.
The Concord Independent Battery will be on site with two live cannons that will be incorporated into the reenactment, bringing the sights and sounds of this historic battle to life.
Arrive early to explore the activities, find a good viewing spot, and make sure you don’t miss the action!
This event is free and open to the public.
