Regulate and Create is a six-week creative arts therapy group for ages 14–16 exploring anxiety, social connection, and identity development. Participants use art-making, movement, reflection, and peer connection to strengthen emotional awareness, self-compassion, nervous-system regulation, and goal-setting skills.

What to expect

• Interactive warm-ups, mindfulness, and embodied drama games
• Guided collage, painting, mixed-media, 3D, and reflective-writing activities
• Practical learning about stress responses, emotions, coping, and support systems
• A final integrated artwork and artist statement reflecting personal growth and resilience

Fall 2026 schedule

Six Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM: October 19 and 26; November 2, 9, 16, and 23. The group is led by graduate-level interns Kayla Bain, Maiel Richards, and Amelia Castelli.

Insurance, registration, and cancellations

This therapeutic group includes an individual intake, six group sessions, and a follow-up consultation. Each appointment is billed to the participant’s health insurance; copays, coinsurance, or deductibles may apply. The Artful Life requires 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments are billed directly at $115 for an intake or consultation and $40 for a group session.
