About this Event
The North Shore Labor Council and the Salem Alliance for the Environment are holding an event for Gloucester residents to learn about union jobs in green energy. Here are the details:
The North Shore Labor Council and the Salem Alliance for the Environment are proud to host the next event in our series on energy justice and offshore wind. “Turning the Tides: Who Builds Gloucester’s Energy Future?” will be held Tuesday October 13th starting at 6:30PM at the Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester (2 Dale Avenue). Join us for an interactive discussion exploring how green energy can be a pathway for strong union jobs, vibrant communities, and a clean environment. Amidst skyrocketing energy prices, especially with the steep cost of oil and gas, it’s important we discuss options for our communities to remain energy independent while still maintaining a healthy economy.
We’ll be joined by local union members, environmental activists, and community leaders to present on all these topics and more. Dinner will be provided, as well as Spanish interpretation. We ask that you register in advance, but the event is free and everyone is welcome to join! Use the following link to register: https://forms.gle/G3KtuJDRJNJq2hzaA
We want to thank our wonderful sponsors for making this event possible: Cape Ann Climate Coalition, Seaside Sustainability, and Town Green.
Please contact us at northshorelaborcouncil@gmail.com with any questions.
