Salem kicked off 2025 the best way we know how — together! On New Year’s Eve, families braved the cold and gathered at Artists’ Row for LAUNCH!, Salem Main Streets’ annual family-friendly celebration. From magic to face painting to hat-making, the afternoon was filled with creativity, laughter, and community spirit.
A huge thank you to the Artists’ Row tenants who opened their doors and supported this event: Moon Base One, North Shore Glass School, MiraMar Print Lab, Saboteuse, and The Lobster Shanty. Your participation helped make this day possible!
LAUNCH! was part of the inaugural Salem Holiday Happenings initiative, a collaborative effort by Creative Collective and Salem Main Streets to create a cohesive holiday experience for Salem’s residents and visitors. From Santa’s Arrival and the Tree Lighting to Wassail Weekend and beyond, Holiday Happenings brought the community together throughout the 2025 holiday season. Salem Main Streets’ (SMS) mission is the continued revitalization of downtown Salem as a vibrant, year-round, retail, dining and cultural destination through business retention, recruitment, and promotion of the downtown district. SMS produces and supports numerous community events and initiatives throughout the year, including the Salem Farmers’ Market, Salem Arts Festival, Salem’s So Sweet, and the October Information booth.
