Apophis Films specializes in crafting compelling visual narratives across various genres, including business promotions, political campaigns, documentaries, and narrative storytelling. Our comprehensive services encompass video production, still photography, post-production, and dynamic motion graphics. Our mission is to empower both local and global enterprises to elevate their brand presence and enable artists to authentically convey their stories through the medium of film. As a freelance filmmaker, I’ve directed and produced TV shows and narrative feature films, now streaming on Amazon Prime and all major streaming platforms. As a kid from Lynn, my passion for basketball not only shaped my upbringing but also led me to pursue higher education, earning a degree in Film during college and later attaining a Master’s in Business. Combining my creative and entrepreneurial pursuits, I established a production company and collaborated with top-tier filmmakers nationwide. My ultimate aim is to deliver unparalleled video production services, catering to the needs of both companies and artists, ensuring they receive nothing short of excellence.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
My business can offer local businesses and artists top-notch video production at a local level for a competitive price. We have proved this by partnering with local musicians and delivering professional music videos for a fraction of the cost. I believe a more creative community is important because everyone has a story and being able to listen and or see each other’s stories makes us all more empathic.
What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?
James Baldwin’s “Another Country.” Anything from Baldwin is impactful however, “Another Country” made an impact on me because it showed how nobody is perfect and we are all working on ourselves to the day we die.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
Two of our cofounders gaffed and key gripped “American Fiction” which is up for Best Picture this year at the Oscars.
