In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.

Maitland Farm, Kitchen, & Spirits strives to make fresh, local, sustainable dishes utilizing our own produce and fresh eggs.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.

We are passionate about growing food and making products for our community.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)

We feel that our business supports the creatives in our community by offering a unique approach to agriculture.

What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?

The last book I read that had an impact on me was Polyface Designs. a comprehensive construction guide for scalable farming infrastructure.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

People would be surprised to learn that Holly and I both have bachelor’s degrees in professional photography.

Maitland Mountain Farm was born in 2009 — a father-daughter project of Peter and Holly Maitland. Peter had a long history of farming and strong tractor skills while Holly brought a delicate eye for flower tending and arranging.
