In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
I work as a freelance creative facilitator. When people ask me what that means, I tell them that I have a particular set of skills around leading groups through conversations in a way that’s values-aligned, relational, productive, and creative. Teams often contact me when they’re experiencing the discomfort of transition, change, or conflict. My goal is to support the group in aligning their work toward a shared vision and value system so they can build a strong culture and embrace change with purpose.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
I do what I do because I burned out at my job as a non-profit leader. To heal from that experience, I needed to understand the systems that caused it to be so, including my own internalization of white supremacy culture, capitalism, and white feminism. Mission-driven organizations have the potential to do so much good in the world, but the “business-as-usual” way of working can be extractive, unsustainable, and unloving. This is why I’ve made it my mission to work with teams to design organizational systems that share power and foster imagination for a more equitable future.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
While I am a “sole proprietor”, I rarely work alone! I value rigorous and creative collaboration with both my clients and fellow consultants. I often consult in partnership with other trusted facilitators, creators, artists, and activists.
