In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.

We are three generations of crafters making unique, fun and useful tools and toys. All items are made by hand. From protecting your altar and tools, to making a child’s day with a handmade sock monkey, we have an assortment of products tailored to the world in Salem, Massachusetts.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.

We are three women who decided to stop working two jobs each and follow our passion of creating beautiful and fun products for all things magical. From the smile of a child hugging a beloved toy, to the warmth of a hand tied quilt, the charge of a handmade wand or staff, or the beauty of a well cared for altar or tarot deck. We create what calls to us knowing someone out there will adore it as much as we enjoy making it.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)

In this world of COVID 19, we all realized just how much we took for granted. During the mask shortage, we put away our arts (like so many artists) and answered the call putting our tools to use making much needed masks. We did not sell them during that mask shortage, just gave them away en masse (45,000 of them). We figured for every one mask worn, that many more of our community would be saved. We realized then how much we took our arts for granted. We missed creating.

We don’t see ourselves as a community influencer, but we know our crafts bring smiles and happiness to all of our community. That is our goal.
We thrive on that amazed face looking on a handmade cedar and crystal wand, the sheer joy of a toddler hugging their new monkey, the satisfied smile from someone knowing that hand tied quilt will be super warm while binge watching their favorite shows. Yes, we like to sell these items, but the real magic is the satisfaction is seeing how they make others happy.

Without creativity, the arts, performance and song, we are without hope and vision of the future.

What was the last book you read or film you watched that made an impact on you?

Oh that’s not fair! There are soooo many!

But the Extinction Series by A.G. Riddle is a great one.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?

That we are three different religions, yet we are mother, daughter and granddaughter. Patricia (mom), is a spiritualist, Rachael (daughter) is a witch and Raven is, well… She is following her own path right now.

Yet our creativity flows in the same directions as maid, mother and crone often do.
