For more than three decades, The Peabody International Festival has attracted thousands of people to downtown Peabody with live music, artists, and food inspired from around the world.

In 1984 Mayor Peter Torigian hosted the First International Festival in Peabody Square, highlighting the city’s rich ethnic heritage and diversity, with good food, good music, singing, dancing, and a wonderful display of local artistic talent. The International Festival still attracts between 50,000 and 80,000 people to Peabody Square each year.

This year, Creative Collective partnered with the International Festival Committee and City of Peabody to expand the Vendor and Artisan Market for the 2019 festival, now in its 36th year.

The market was located on Foster Street and included the artisan gallery sale presented by Peabody Arts Association. Accompanying this gallery was live painting by Grimdrops and Annadidathing, and an interactive Children’s element called “Kid’s Day,” which took place at the East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street.
